Jason Berger

Born in 1924 in Malden, Massachusetts, Jason Berger attended the Boston
School of the Museum of Fine Arts, graduating at the top of his class in 1949.
He was awarded a two-year fellowship that allowed him to work and travel in Europe, an opportunity that he managed to turn into a three-year experience. A naturalistic expressionism has always been his aesthetic mindset, as he interprets the natural landscape through a lens of expressionistic, exuberant color and form.  His work presents a dynamic interplay of emotional content and formal structure.

Now in his fourth decade of successful exhibitions in the US and Europe, the artist currently resides in Portugal.  He is represented in the private collections of Mr. Jay Rockefeller; Mrs. Walter B. Ford II; Nick Nolte; the Rockefeller Medical Center, New York, NY; Chase National Bank, New York, NY; Boston Sheraton Hotel, and many others.

Jason Berger’s work is also represented in the following Museum Collections:
Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY
Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY
DeCordova Museum, Lincoln, MA
Brandeis University, Waltham, MA
Smith College, Northampton, MA
Rutgers University, Zimmerli Museum, New Brunswick, NJ
